The Power of Habit

in Non-fiction

Charles Duhigg is the author of The Power of Habit: Why We Do What We Do in Life and Business. Although I was sure I would enjoy the book, I wasn't looking that forward to the business part. I'm interested in the study of the formation of habits for purely personal reasons. I've always found it very difficult to create and maintain habits over the long term. This book has been even better than I expected.

At about 1/4 of the way through the book, I've already discovered several interesting theories that I've put to the test in my own life. I'm enjoying this book for a variety of reasons. I'm also being pleasantly surprised at how easy it is to coach my children into a few new habits.

It's been a fascinating read so far and I look forward to moving my bookmark a little further in tomorrow. :-)
